Music making groups
The range of more that 35 instrumental and choral ensembles offers something for everyone.

Instrument loan
Having instruments available to lend means that no child needs to miss the opportunity to develop musical skills for lack of financial resources.

The myriad events we support include the biennial Royal Albert Hall festival, concerts at major London venues including LSO St Lukes and the Shaw Theatre as well as numerous local performances and concerts.
Past projects

Somers Town Sinfonia
Generously funded by a large grant this ‘bridge ensemble’ project involved 30 children and parents from local primary schools, in one of Camden’s most deprived wards. Students came together outside of school to play as part of an orchestra, creating a special sound, building a love of music and making friends.

A New Created World
A collaborative music programme that enabled pupils and teachers to work with students from the Royal Academy of Music and players from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

100 Hours of Music
A campaign to kickstart music lessons for those most affected by the pandemic. We provided 30 children with 10 online taster music lessons (100 hours) and encouraged and supported them to continue their musical journey afterwards.

All Together Now
A crowdfunding campaign, match funded by Arts Council England, which created the opportunity for 120 Camden primary school children to play a newly composed, technology driven piece at the Camden Schools’ Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2020. This project was aimed specifically at families who would not otherwise access music.

Jazz Connect
A ground-breaking two-year programme to increase awareness of jazz amongst children and young people, with an added target of encouraging the involvement of young women in jazz.

Great Musical Revival
A sponsored run in 2019 involving over 40 runners – music teachers, parents of kids learning music, a Head Teacher, Camden Music Service staff, Camden Music Trust trustees, and students – which raised over £17,000 to restore many of Camden Music Service’s old and tired instruments.
